A quick trip home took place last week.
While there a chance to see Mama and Mary
Elizabeth was sitting
with a sick grandchild
but if all goes well, the next trip will include another get together
that she will be able
to attend!
For several years
2 Finches, 1 Cat and
1 Poodle have shared Mama’s home and heart…
Sitting and watching the finch work on their nest I began to think of all the yard birds that consider our tufts of Pyr hair shed in the yard as Pure Gold for their nest…
So pretty much resembling a mad woman I rushed out to the
“Puppy/ Gamma van”
and retrieved a small amount of the wonderfully soft, fluffy Great Pyrenees undercoat,
that clung to the van floor…
Making a small wad of it , I gently tucked it among the bars at the top of their cage…
Such a clamor arose as one darted to unlodge this new found treasure!!..
look closely and you can see where they
have started to incorporate their new “stuffing” into their abode!
Mama bade us to come watch “Baby”
run and play in the yard with their new fence…
She was so fast ,
I caught one picture
of her as she ran to the other side of the yard…
then a few pictures of where Baby had been when I pressed the shutter button…
Mary, at least, stood still…
Then Baby was ready to go back inside.
It’s summer time
down south.

A Fairy’s Wing
And as seasons come and go,
here’s something you might like to know.
There are fairies everywhere:
under bushes, in the air,
playing games just like you play,
singing through their busy day.
So listen, touch , and look around-
in the air and on the ground.
And if you watch all nature’s things,
you might just see a fairy’s wing.
If you want your children to be brilliant, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be geniuses, read them more fairy tales.- Albert Einstein
